Despite all the Plymouths that were wrecked throughout the movie, three complete movie cars were said to have survived filming and later served as promotional aids for the movie's release. A fourth movie car turned up that was originally scheduled to be scrapped, but was saved by a fellow Christine fan.
The Promo-Contest Christine
Recently in March 2004 one of the movie cars turned up in West Palm Beach, Florida at the Barrett-Jackson auction and was sold for $167,400 (USD) to a man in England. This particlular Christine was part of a promotional contest following the movie's release in 1983. Scott Edminster was the lucky person out of approximately 40,000 people who entered to win a fully restored 1958 Fury featured in the movie Christine. More on this Christine at Barrett-Jackson.com

Since the release of the movie in 1983, Christine replicas, or clones, have been popping up all over the world. More and more '57 & '58 Plymouths are being restored and painted red and white, inspired by Christine. Few of these clones are actual Furys, most are '58 Belvedere two door hardtops, but it doesn't seem to matter the model, body style or even year anymore, everyone is getting in on the action. Many diehard Plymouth enthusiasts loathe the idea of anyone restoring an authentic Fury to resemble Christine because of how scarce these true factory hot rods are.
Below, an example of one of many '58 Belvederes restored to resemble Christine following the release of the movie.
However, not all Christine clones are as accurately represented as this one.

The Camaro chase Christine
This recently restored movie car is owned by Bill Gibson and was previously owned by Jim Garvie & his son Derek, features the authentic Christine interior. It has a motion detector installed on it that allows the lights to come on and the music soundtrack to start playing whenever anyone comes near. More on this Christine here
Not all red and white '58 Plymouths are "Christine clones", however. A red and white paint combination was offered to these cars from factory in 1958. Michael Morelli's '58 Belvedere (right) is an example of just that. Baring it's stock colors, Toreador Red and Iceburg White, Michael's car frequently gets mistaken for a Christine clone.
Sitting in a back lot of a studio in L.A., this Christine was meant to be used in another movie shortly after the filming of Christine, but was replaced with another red & white Belvedere in the end. Since it was no longer needed it was slated to be scrapped, but was saved and restored by a compassionate Christine fan. Read the full story here
